mapping south water street

After selecting a location in Providence, my team and I began recording all the information we could find as thoroughly as possible. We recorded the physical aspects (photographing, notating, measuring, sketching), the phenomenal (footsteps, shadows, leaves flying, breeze), the use/history of the location (historic research and writing), the sensorial (temperature, scents, light quality, sound recordings), and the personal, poetic aspects (how does the place make us feel?). Using the Snapchat platform, we created a filter using SnapLens Studio that would provide people with information about the location as they pan their device around the space.
